I would feel comfortable giving this as a gift to someone who has never crocheted…and especially to an adult who doesn’t want to make a cutesy amigurumi tiny animal.

I got this as a cute quirky crochet gift for a friend. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product and the value of the yarn included in the project. The instructions are clear and have included pictures of the look of each different change in stitch or design. They even included a link to a video if that helps you follow better. The kit holds all of the items needed for this project including the stuffing and the needle for weaving in the ends and a pair of scissors and some stitch counters.
The yarn is thick and soft and the end result should be a quality product, they even started the project so you can jump right in. Awesome kit! Will be looking to see if there are others.

I have crocheted for years, but I tried to view this as if I was a beginner. I think it should not be a first project, but I think a novice could follow the directions given. The direction booklet is very step by step and easy to follow. Everything is explained out quite well.
I tend to crochet a little tight, so I should have gone larger on the hook, but used the one in the kit. So my booty was a little smaller and firmer than I believe it is suppose to be. But it turned out pretty good. There was a whole skein of main color yarn left over and a whole package of the stuffing.
They included plenty of supplies. There were plenty of stitch markers and even included the snippers to cut the yarn.
I was surprised that 2 of the skeins of yarn were already started with the first circle row (the hardest to do). I thought that was brilliant in a kit like this.
I used the kit just as is, not using anything from my own stash and everything you needed was in this kit.
The only thing I didn't like were the snippers. They were just fine, but I am not used to using this type of cutter and pinched my finger/hand several times using them.
The booty turned out really nice. It is so cute and silly. I love it!

I wouldn't say this is a pillow size. My hand almost covers the whole thing and being a female, that's saying a lot. My finished piece came to about 8 inches across by about 6 inches on height. I will say though, it's so cute and funny and the thong it also a pocket, lol. Now to the kit itself. The supplies that come with the kit is more than you need but not enough to do 2 of these. There isn't enough of the yarns to make it but there is plenty of stuffing left for sure. The instructions for this kit were so easy to follow. It's very simple crochet stitches, which would be perfect for a beginner crocheter. This kit honestly would be perfect for a beginner crocheter because how well the yarn holds up as well. Oh and almost forgot, 2 of the skeins sent are already pre-started for you with magic rings. And the instructions also walk you through how to make a magic ring as well. Doesn't fall apart or break when pulling on it tightly (the yarn). Does shed a little but not really too bad for a chenille yarn. I do wish this was bigger, like pillow size that the listing says, but I can redo it in my own yarn to make it bigger. But overall, a great kit for the price point. And the colors of the yarn are overall good. Wish the "white" yarn had an option of a light skin tone color. Would be more realistic on skin tone, but that pink, I'm in love with it. The pink yarn is so hot pink, my phone keeps changing it to red for the pictures, but I love hot pink so this is perfect.
